Hive Systems Statement on the Murder of George Floyd
RICHMOND, Va. – Over the past week, this country has watched tens of thousands of people rightfully and peacefully protest the murder of George Floyd and the injustices faced by Black people every day. Hive Systems released the following statement in support of the protests:
“The murder of George Floyd was senseless, appalling, and has further exposed the injustice faced by Black people every day. There is no place in our society for abuse, discrimination, bigotry, or hatred. In everything we do, we commit to advocating for systems that promote equity, inclusivity, and embrace diversity. We will have the tough conversations with each other, better educate ourselves on our own biases, and will not do business with those who do not. As an immediate step, Hive Systems will be donating to the Legal Aid Justice Center, which partners with communities to achieve justice in the Richmond area.”
