Jillian Klug, CISSP, CSM
Jillian Klug is a Communication and Network Research Engineer, Senior Professional Staff II, at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory where she applies her technical and operational experience to enable information superiority towards solving the Nation’s toughest challenges.
Jill is passionate about building, integrating, and adapting advanced technology to increase precision and reduce risk in support of current and future operations. Her focus is to enhance decision making and attain insights through data driven solutions, free trapped capacity through automation, and grow beneficial partnerships to achieve innovative end states.
Jill retired from the military in 2022 with 22 years of active-duty service as an Information Technology and Cybersecurity professional. Her service included a diverse portfolio of strategic and tactical assignments where she drove value to operations by empowering customers to be at the core of technology solutions. She aligned Information Technology and Cybersecurity priorities to organizational lines of business to execute digital transformation and data realization. She was responsible for the strategy, solutions, delivery, and maintenance of technologies for global Department of Defense customers making time-critical, strategic decisions.
Jill resides in Virginia with her family. She is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM). She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Lehigh University and her Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity from Webster University. She has authored articles in Signal Magazine and the Army Communicator reporting on technical advancements and innovation in the Department of Defense.
